Would Paul Krugman take a post in the Obama administration? |
|
I, for one, would love to turn the entire economy over to Krugman for the next 2 to 6 years -- I think he'd make it into a well-oiled machine and everyone would get rich. Or at least do better.
Everything... the Fed, military budgets, Social Security, Obamacare, the works. In little Paul's capable hands, how could we lose?

...he's said 'no' literally dozens of times. I don't know short of a withdrawal into a Trappist monastery, what Krugman could do to make his 'no' clearer.

"...no, not me. Aside from the fact that I’m in a pretty good place for influencing public discussion right now, the job does come with some administrative responsibilities, and also requires significant bureaucratic skills. I has them — not."

4. "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country." |

It's not just a typing exercise...
How about Paul just spend a weekend writing up the basic plan, and he have an NYT intern actually implement shit?

8. How about Joseph Stiglitz? That might actually be a better choice and I think he would accept. |
