"Earlier this month, following a non-jury trial that lasted three weeks, US District Court Judge Virginia Phillips ruled that Don't Ask, Don't Tell was indeed unconstitutional. She could possibly be issuing an injunction today that would ban the policy - but the White House is now attempting to STOP it!"

The White House apparently feels that the aforementioned injunction challenges Congress, and Press Secretary Robert Gibbs explains in a statement:

"This filing in no way diminishes the president's firm commitment to achieve a legislative repeal of DADT – indeed, it clearly shows why Congress must act to end this misguided policy."

1. What, exactly, are you linking to? I need more info on the story
you are commenting about before I make any judgment. With that said, if all the info you provide it true, this really stinks.

4. Not porn, just celeb gossip site
here is what is said at the perez link:

So disappointing - and INFURIATING!

Earlier this month, following a non-jury trial that lasted three weeks, US District Court Judge Virginia Phillips ruled that Don't Ask, Don't Tell was indeed unconstitutional. She could possibly be issuing an injunction today that would ban the policy - but the White House is now attempting to STOP it!

WTF?

The White House apparently feels that the aforementioned injunction challenges Congress, and Press Secretary Robert Gibbs explains in a statement:

"This filing in no way diminishes the president's firm commitment to achieve a legislative repeal of DADT – indeed, it clearly shows why Congress must act to end this misguided policy."

Phillips' injunction stems from a lawsuit filed by the Log Cabin Republicans, a gay rights organization hoping for a nationwide ban, and are obviously very disappointed with the White House's current stance.

Their attorney, Dan Woods, says:

"It's sad and disappointing that the administration would file such a document days after it urged Congress to repeal 'don't ask, don't tell."

Agreed! We have the opportunity to BAN this foolish policy for once and all, right now, and now they're trying to throw it back into the shark tank for more debate?!

Unbelievable!

This is truly a sad day for the Obama administration. They should all be absolutely ashamed of themselves, after the tireless efforts so many have made to get the same HUMAN RIGHTS as everyone else.

7. The justice department has a duty to uphold the laws
that congress makes until the time that congress changes the law in question. If the law is challenged in court, the justice department must respond. It's not a say one thing and do another for the administration, it's called doing its job as required.
