POCANTICO HILLS, N.Y. – First lady Michelle Obama is showcasing her healthy eating initiative by welcoming spouses of world leaders to a farm and education center north of New York City.

The spouses, who come from places as diverse as Albania, Mongolia and Swaziland, are visiting Stone Barns, a nonprofit farm and education center. At the farm on Friday will be third graders who will be harvesting vegetables, collecting eggs and then helping to prepare their own lunch.

Then the spouses, in town for the U.N. General Assembly, will eat lunch in style: Sharing the premises at Stone Barns is a renowned restaurant, Blue Hill at Stone Barns. Its chef, Dan Barber, is being joined by three White House chefs.

1. Uh, huh, I have a remark. Everyone please note:
For someone who wanted the First Lady to be Bill Clinton, I must say Michelle Obama is a wonderful First Lady. She rarely fails to make me very proud and is rich with elan vital. Additional note: This does not apply to everything Obama, as he still is not coming along as well as I hoped he would. I still have high hopes, however, and, no, I will not stay home nor vote for a repub.

She is such a great role model and has such a positive message for kids. I know my kids have taken an interest in her healthy eating campaign.
