What will We Democrats Do...When there's No One "Left" to Fight Back?
Edited on Fri Sep-24-10 08:36 PM by KoKo
Left Activists: WE "Fought Against Bush vs. Gore Recount and decision by the Supreme Court in 2000 Selection. We had little power against the Repugs who prentended to be ordinary citizens who worked to STOP the VOTE in FLORIDA and installed their SHILLS to do a Job on the REOUNT...even calling in their SUPREME COURT SHILLS to FINISH THE JOB!

THE YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS:

After the STOLEN ELECTION .....MASSES OF ANGRY DEM VOTERS took to the EMERGING INTERNETS and WORKED THEIR BUTTS OFF to REFORM OUR ELECTION MACHINES. WE DEMONSTRATED...we had Experts in Computer Science Demonstrate how the Voting Machines in Florida and in all of our states who used E-Voting could have been compromised in their votes by HACKING OF VOTING MACHINES! We forced HEARINGS in the US HOUSE...where Reps: John Conyers and the rest had to find an "Empty Room in BASEMENT" to hold the Hearings because the REPUGS who HELD BOTH PARTIES...refused to HEAR US.

We were promised MORE HEARINGS AND VOTING REFORM...but alas..poltical elections for years kept the carrot in front of us Donkeys and we kept hope alive until no one wanted to listen to us talks about it anymore, and "ELECTION/VOTING MACHINE REFORM" died except in states with strong activists like North Carolina where some reform was able to be put through ...thanks to Activists and the ACLU.

"THEN there was SEPTEMBER 11th, 2001!" THAT DAY THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING!"

TWO WARS...INVASION OF IRAQ FIRST...ACTIVISTS in the MILLIONS MARCHED ALL OVER THE US...to STOP THE INVASION...

AFTER THE INVASION...the MARCHES CONTINUED FOR YEARS...and CANDLE LIGHT VIGILS HELD IN TOWNS AND CITIES ALL OVER THE US ....FOR YEARS by the Dedicated and the CHURCHES WHO STILL CARED.

Coming up on 2011 and WE ARE IN STILL IN IRAQ...and AFGHANISTAN...

OSAMA is FORGOTTEN. WE don't remember HOW BUSH STOLE THE ELECTION..."HOW or WHY"... WE INVADED IRAQ and WHY WE ARE IN AFGHANISTAN without Capturing bin Laden who we were told was the "WANTED ONE."

We worked to get DEMOCRATS ELECTED TO THE HOUSE AND SENATE...for a MAJORITY...so we COULD HAVE HEARINGS ON: VOTING MACHINE FRAUD, BUSH/CHENEY/RUMSFELD abuse of the CONSTITUTION OF THE US...

We had GITMO/BLAKWATER/CONTRACTORS/STOLEN MONEY FROM IRAQI's/ABUSE of the JUSTICE SYSTEM with FEDERAL JUDGES FIRED BY BUSH CORRUPT JUSTICE DEPARTMENT...WE HAD HOUSING BUBBLE/BANKING FRAUD THAT BROUGHT DOWN WORLD ECONOMY... WE TAXPAYERS BAILED IT ALL OUT...like WE VOTERS BAILED OUT BUSH..on FRAUDULENT TERMS...LIKE WE INVADED IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN on TRUMPED UP FRAUDULENT INFO!

------------

IS THERE ANYONE HERE ON DU, left after all these years...WHO REMEMBERS the HEARINGS WE WERE PROMISED? ANYONE HERE WHO REMEMBERS THE VOTING REFORM WE WERE PROMISED? ANYONE HERE WHO CAN ADD TO MY LIST OF WHAT WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH...THE DEMOCRATS WHO FOUGHT SO LONG TO RESTORE THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY TO POWER?

ANYONE?

CRICKETS?..........CRICKETS?..........CRICKETS? "WHO IS LEFT TO REMEMBER THE LEFT?"

2. I remember
K/R #5 But our Democratic leaders don't seem to remember, and what is even more heartbreaking is that they would rather move on. To what though?

3. Our party has been hijacked by conservaDems who want power
instead of progress. It's enough for them to win elections and be less evil than the right. Get into office and just don't do the bad stuff the right did, but don't do any real good stuff either.

Just hold onto power for the sake of power and make corporate sponsors happy as much as possible, and bring in as much money as possible, while pretending that helping those corporations is somehow being progressive thanks to good public relations efforts.

Good PR can fool most people most of the time into thinking Anything is Progress. Hell, we have a lot of people here who are fooled regularly into thinking that public relations, press releases, and pretty speeches are somehow progressive victories. :eyes:

8. “We believe we have compromised significantly, and we’re prepared to compromise further.”
John Kerry, regarding recent climate bill talks: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0610/39165.html

The battle cry of the dems.
