A very different First Full Day of Autumn
The temperature in the DC area was well above normal today. It was the 63rd day this year above 90. That's a record.

The temperature this date was a new record.

This is the deepest into the year the temperature has ever been this hot.

My car showed 101 is this picture. It later showed 103, but I was on an exit ramp and couldn't get a picture of it.

Right now, at 9.00 at night, it is 81 on the deck.

1. Hey, but remember, you got a bunch of snow during last winter and that proved there is no climate
change. :eyes:

6. It was 28°C here today; it's still at 24°C.
I hate it. It's supposed to be seasonal tomorrow...which is around 15°C. (~81°F, 75°F, 65°F...for those who still use the British system.)

7. 90 on the coast of NC ..
I used to live in NOVA, there sure is a ton of concrete/asphalt going on up there, but still, I don't remember it being that hot at the end of September. I wonder if some altruistic individual/group would take it upon themselves to start an urban green roof project? They have the technology to help elevate the heat, but the country is being run by those who are either too timid to try, or they just don't see the greater good ..

Atlanta in the summer

Sacramento

The blue/green area are where there is vegetation.

The water was perfect and was a perfect refreshment from the muggy evening air after a long hot day.
