Future US Senator(!?) Christine O'Donnell on EVOLUTION: 'Politically Incorrect', 1998
Edited on Fri Sep-24-10 11:23 PM by ProgressiveEconomist
This is my transcript of the abbreviated O'Donnell clip Bill Maher aired tonight, as he promised last week:

WHAT'S YOUR OPINION?

"O'DONNELL: Evolution is a myth, and even Darwin ...

MAHER: Have you ever looked at a monkey?

O'DONNELL: Then why aren't monkeys STILL evolving into humans?"

1. Now that you mention it, I've never seen a fish grow legs and
walk out of a stream. They'd be a heck of a lot easier to catch if they did that.

7. Can you imagine COD as a US Senator, voting on science and education initiatives?

2. If you think O'Donnell wins her race
I will sell you my interest in the Brooklyn Bridge. Got the deed right here.

4. The "(!?)" in the thread title was meant to express doubt and disbelief. But an O'Donnell
win still is a possibility, isn't it? IMO just about anything is possible politically in this nutty country this year.

3. You think Tina Fey can also do a good O'Donnell?
I'd love to see it!

5. Wouldn't they have to bring Tina back every week to do it? I think this may be an opportunity
to one of the less-tested newer cast members. Is Nasim Pedraz's nose too big for her to do a convincing COD?

11. How about Megan Mullally for this one?

Megan is far more attractive, but then so is Tina Fey when compared to Sarah Palin. I think she would be perfect.

9. When you assume the earth is 6000 years old, it's natural that
evolution would have to run a little faster than 'scientists' think it did.

10. Is that part of 'creationist' doctrine? The earth is 6000 years old?
Does that come from totaling up all the "begats" in the book of Genesis?

That law school link I posted is quite erudite, isn't it?

14. How dare you mock her deeply held, completely batshit insane, stupid clusterfuck set of beliefs.
It's this religious intolerance that alienates values voters, makes us lose elections, and causes toast imprinted with pictures of Jesus riding a dinosaur to get moldy before its time.
