Onward Christian Soldiers!
unhappycamper note: Since the ‘Pentagon’ has ‘requested’ that I only post one paragraph from articles on Army Times, and Airforce Times, I’ve decided to give ya’ll an unhappycamper summary of the article and a link to the OP. To keep in that same (new) tradition, I will also do the same for articles on Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, stripes.com and military.com.To keep in that same (new) tradition, I will also do the same for for articles on Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, stripes.com and military.com.

To read the article in the military's own words, you will need to click the link.

(This space reserved for a legally correct snark dump.) It sure is beginning to smell like fascism.

unhappycamper summary of this article: I'm sure glad that Lt. Gen. Frank Helmick wrote that "he’s confident the planned “Rock the Post” event doesn’t infringe on anyone’s freedoms."

We really need to get the military out of the god bidness.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Christian rally open to the public will go ahead at Fort Bragg on Saturday, leaders at the post say, despite objections from national groups who say it’s a violation of the separation between church and state.

1. The problem is some of the interpretation.

I am not saying I have all the answers, nor even close. But it is like Afghanistan, Machiavellian use religion without knowledge and reason to build a core group of support, for themselves.

Then they get all freaked out when that group doesn't have the knowledge to understand the teachings.

The problem is not teachings of the love of God, it is how some use it for Machiavellian reasons.

And on a side note, I am having a conversation across many threads, and why is that? why not one thread or someone actually saying things so many people can see it? What are people afraid of?

And where is the beer and travel money, and many good experiences that are due.
