Chris Coons Campaigning today: Started off with a pep talk from Chris Coons himself!!
I'll have photos uploaded later.

I spent the day with some really amazing people. Two of the people in our group were some guys originally from Colorado who now live in DC but knew Chris Coons and came up to help him. A shout out to Yoni and Shiloh if you're reading this (BTW the asked for more Hate Mailbag from DU - they new DU and loved that stuff). Also a girl who just got her Masters Degree and was back home in Delaware after living in Germany for 3 years.

I stopped by Papas Bakery (O'Donnell tidbit - she spent $30 in illegal campaign funds here in 2009) to bring Biscotti for the troops. We had a massive turn out and no wonder - in pops Chris Coons to greet everyone and give us a pep talk before we head out. He was running a few minutes late because his oldest son had a football game this morning and he wanted to watch part of it before helping out with campaigning (oldest is 11). He talked about how his son's team was a bit smaller than the opponents and yet by halftime the game was tied. He said it wasn't the size of the opponent that wins but the one that plays the smartest strategy.

After morning campaign, the guys from DC were looking for a place to eat. I was just going to make some recommendations but they said I should come along. I gave them the highlight of Little Italy restaurants and we ended up at Mrs Robino's - great cheap Italian food.

We saw our first Christine O'Donnell sign but the roommate said that guy was a bit nuts.

I am sore and tired from all the walking but I will be back tomorrow. Bought 6 more cases of water for the office and even going to loan them my old laptop for use (they have one that's a bit beat).

I will post photos later of Chris Coons.

1. Thanks for the update Lynne...
sorry I missed it. Mrs. Robino's is really good. My mom and dad go into Wilmington a lot just to go there.

Looking forward to the photos.

3. I feel bad - a couple of folks talked about coming to Wilmington and I said to stay local
and they missed out on Chris Coons

4. You didn't know..
I'm going to see what I can do around here (Newark/Bear) area. Not sure how much is being done. I haven't seen anyone around. I'm going to see if my son wants to go and help too. He's really starting to get into politics. Started during the last primaries.

Did you know Tim Kaine is gonna be at UD next Tuesday?

2. Coons is campaigning? Doesn't he know he's doomed?
I seen it on the teevee and ever'thing! I guess he has to go through the motions and stuff, but really. It's so unseemly.
