Risk of trade war rises as key US committee backs tariffs on China
According to the bill's supporters, a properly valued yuan would move jobs back to the US as exports from China become more expensive. The Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington argues up to 500,000 American jobs could be created.

1. Bring it on baby
but who is going to buy our debt? I doubt the Chinese will if we are engaged in a trade war with them.

I got to wonder if a sub sinks a few of those monstrous Wal-Mart container ships what would happen?

combined, that's less than we owe our own workers in social security debt.

5. Unsound reasoning
Chances of jobs moving back to the US as a result being somewhat closer to nil. Products of Chinese manufacture would still remain cheaper

7. China and Japan both use monetary policy to help their exports.
Taking a harder stand with China on trade is long, long overdue.
