How do I find information on Federal grant money awarded?

I'm not looking for what grants are available, or how to apply for one... I'm looking to find out what money was given out, how much, to whom and for what purpose.

This site http://www.grants.gov, only supplies the former info, not the latter.

2. The CFDA should list that information

Excuse me if this isn't current, but the Code of Federal and Domestic Assistance (CFDA) used to list both each Agency's current programs but also gave an historical view for each of them, indicating not only what was available this fiscal year but also how much had been spent in the preceding year and sometimes in years prior to that as well.
