We're not in a "war" in Iraq. The war lasted about 3 weeks. Ever since then, what we have been engaged in has been the occupation of Iraq. And there is no way to "win" an occupation. You either continue it, or you end it. And if you decide to continue, then you need to set some clear goals and have a plan to get the hell our once you are finished.

I think President Bush has lost sight of why we are in Iraq. To him, it's about showing that we can stay there as long as he says so -- and showing that the Democrats and moderate Republicans can't make him budge.

But it's not about him. It's about our national interests. We do not have the luxury of wasting more lives and resources in Iraq trying to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. It's time to end the occupation and devote our resources elsewhere.

It's time for us to look out for America and let the Iraqis look out for themselves.

1. And that's why our missing soldiers are referred to as "kidnapped" not POWs nt

3. Bush doesn't even call it the war in Iraq. That's the media.
Bush constantly calls it the War on Terror. Iraq's just one small component and will only be won as part of winning the broader conflict. Which is BS, but there you go.

4. Bingo
And the point of an occupation should be to END IT as soon as possible. But then, there is no money in that!
