Time for today's insulting stupid teabagger campaign statement
Try this one on for size.

In discussing veterans who have signed up to support Republican Vicky Hartzler, the 4th District Missouri congressional candidate, Hartzler spokesman Steve Walsh said this to a Springfield radio interviewer:

“This is not exactly a group made up of people who might have been drafted, served in Vietnam for a year and hated it, and then came back and said bad things about their country like John Kerry.

“These are people who actually are proud Americans and are supporting Vicky Hartzler.”

Democratic incumbent Ike Skelton was having none of it. Campaign spokesman Jason Rauch said Hartzler owed veterans an apology.

I'm not a big Skelton fan but I'm sure hoping he beats this idiot woman who is running against him. It's also amazing to see this race so close. Ike has brought an incredible amount of federal dollars to his largely rural district, like the B-1 bomber. Can't believe he wouldn't be easily re-elected.

1. What? Did people actually love serving in Vietnam?
I can see some might of but I gather the most didn't. It certainly makes little sense to make it a litmus test to determine if you are a good 'Mericun.

3. The only people I knew who got back from Vietnam
and still supported that war were all pilots who only saw it from up high and far, far away. Anyone who saw it on the ground wanted it stopped. That doesn't mean they don't exist, it just means I never met any.

The dominant emotion wasn't pride of service, it was anger.

7. He was a commissioned officer
It was us dumb draftees that were sucked into the intake, trained for a period of months, and then went out, adding no value, no advantage, really, to the United States armed services over any sustained period of time. That ass Rumsfeld hipped me to that.

8. Ge she should have listed these
George W. Bush who went AWOL and even the government couldn't find him
Dick Cheney who wouldn't serve cause he had better things to do.
Rush Limbaugh because he had a boil on his ass (gee how can he sit now)
And if you checked you would see that prosaically every military age republican for every war found a way to run and hide. And this scag has the nerve to talk about a man who fought for his country and received a medal even tho he didn't like it, he went which is more than you can say for the republicans.

9. Check out the comments following the article.
This is pointed out. And the wingnuts reply: Biden had 5 deferments.

Which may be true but I don't remember Biden cheerleading for an illegal invasion of a foreign country, as Cheney has done.
