Mike Pence Can't Name a Single New Idea by Republicans in Their 'Pledge'
By Heather

Well, his cohort Rep. Kevin McCarthy couldn't name a single program the Republicans would cut from the federal budget the other day after the Republicans released their new "Pledge to America". Today on Meet the Press Rep. Mike Pence couldn't give Meet the Press' David Gregory one actual example of anything in the pledge that's a new idea and not just the same old recycled talking points we've been hearing for years.

After listening to a tape of Jon Stewart slamming them on the Daily Show last week, Pence more or less admits there isn't anything new in the pledge and says the pledge is not "the end-all, be-all" but instead is meant to "be a good start." Sorry Mikey but I think we've had about 30 years or more to see what that "good start" looks like when your party is running the show, and it ain't pretty.

6. You ought to see how much they bob and weave when asked how the tax cuts are paid.
"Kick The Can" Economics . . . a staple in legalized and abetted wealth transfer.

7. K&R
What is even more telling is that David Gregory depends upon a comedian to raise the serious questions on the lack of substance in this so-called "new" Republican pledge. One can only wonder that without Jon Stewart's having made fun of these hapless assholes (and by inference the press) whether or not anyone would have raised these points.

- At all.....

11. That's what confuses me...
There are so many obvious places to poke at, why don't more Dems poke at them? Sometimes it almost seems like they don't want to actually win, but temper their responses to balance it. Even when the other side is fucking bat shit crazy all over the place!

12. It's confusing only because we keep thing that there two parties.....
...but there are no more parties. Parties are a vestige of the past.

"Democracy is a con game. It's a word that was invented to placate people. To make them accept a given institution. All institutions sing "we are free." The minute that you hear "freedom and democracy" watch out. Because in a truly free nation, no one has to tell you, you're free." ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qlgzTlAvOo&feature=player_embedded">Jacques Fresco

14. And even with this hapless roll-out
Meet the Press billboards its coverage of Mike Pence, fumble-mouthing his way through the program, while being incapable of articulating anything new in the Republican Plague. Meanwhile, anyone with a truly useful idea (like, say, oh, single payer health care) can't get seven seconds on the national teevee stage.

9. None of them can. Boehner admitted as much. Cantor didn't have any comeback...
None of the Republicans can name anything different than what they did during the Bush administration...

In the House, it will all be about issuing subpoenas and investigations....

Oh, and attempting to privatize social security and Medicare and taking credit for Democratic Party ideas.

10. I bet Pence did have some trouble naming new ideas
in the GOP's Pledge.

I bet he could name you a list of his donors for his presidential campaign, though.
