How do we win this, in SPITE of the wishes of our party's leaders?

It's becoming increasingly clear that a lot of folks at the DSCC and the DCCC don't really care if we lose a lot of seats this fall.

The rest of us can't afford to give the Right two years to control Congress.

Any thoughts on how we can win an election our own "pros" don't seem to want to win?

It's now clear that we'll have to do it WITHOUT them.

1. Volunteer. Phone or door-to-door canvassing. Whatever you can do.

2. Run in the primaries to keep out the DINOS

grassroots, baby. It's gonna be that simple, and that hard.

3. Almost impossible against incumbent money.

And, you need two years lead time. Not to mention, a lot of rich friends.

We're screwn.

4. Take a look at Joe Sestak in PA - he ran against Specter in the primary...

Specter was supporte by the PA state Democratic Party (Rendell) AND by the WH/National Democratic Party. Sestak had a better message, and he ran a tough personal campaign, driving himself across the state many times meeting people face to face, and gaining support every day. He seems to be doing the same things now against the GOP's Toomey.

We have to support individual candidates within the Party rather than the Party iteslf, using the internet to find candidates in every state that we feel are worthy and contribuiting to them, even a few bucks. You can do this now, up till the election itself.

Unless we let them, the people who really own the Democratic Party is US...if we want to make it work, we have to fight those at the top. But we can do it, and really, he have no real choice.
