Listening to Arne Duncan on MSNBC talking about the "experiment" DC |
|
That sickens me. Plantation mentality.
Give DC Statehood NOW. Don't "experiment" on the kids there.
This shit has been going on for as long as there has been a District of Columbia. Arne probably isn't one who actually thinks in his head or heart in terms of "plantation", but that is the net effect.
Statehood now.

1. I agree. Keep the federal lands federal and make DC a state. |
|
It has more people than Wyoming; it should have at least that much representation.

2. I wouldn't allow Arne to shuffle or deal a deck of cards to me in |
|
a poker game. There's something very "iffy" about this guy, shifty might be a better word. There's an agenda here, a profit and I suspect it isn't for either students or teachers...

5. A challenge to the President, from a "cheerleader" who happens to take public schools |
|
very seriously:
If Duncan/Gates/Oprah, et al, get their way with DC schools, will you send Sasha and Malia to them?

6. In his or any other president's defense . . . . in today's world, it is just too . . . . . |
|
. . . . . dangerous to the president's kids and too disruptive to their classmates' school experience.
The kids need to stay inside the bubble.
But I fully agree with your sentiment. :hi:

11. Not only should Sasha and Malia attend public schools but |
|
every public official child should have to attend public schools. So if they want to screw the public schools their children will feel the effects of their actions. Maybe they will think twice before "experimenting" with children and slashing education budgets.
