I don't get the angst over recs and unrecs, talk about sensitive egos |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-27-10 06:38 PM by rustydog
I could care less whether I get 5 recs and a "greatest" designation or no recs at all. I am not trying to win a popularity contest here, I'm "voicing" my opinions.
I am either posting a viewpoint or I am simply rambling on about something trying to be witty, introspective or just pissed off and venting. Who gives a flying you-know-what if the post is unrecommended or recommended for that matter? It does not change the content or the intent of the message being posted.

8. Me too. Too much obsession here over it all. |
|
Quality OPs are quality OPs whether they get any Recs or not. The whole Rec/UnRec obsession here is like junior high school--really juvenile.

All of the whinging about recs and unrecs reminds me of junior high school.
I survived it once. I don't have to live through it again.

10. As far as I'm concerned, people can rec & unrec for any reason at all including none. |
|
We don't have to have a reason that makes any more sense than "This sucks!"
If the mods disagree with this, they'd better speak up.

20. Due to a lack of interest, it never occurred to me before very recently |
|
how someone would know that some ugly "troll" (cue in haunted house music) had rushed in to unrec a thread.
Here's what I figured must be happening...post a thread. Rec your own thread, then sit there and hit refresh every 1.5 seconds until AHA!!!!
Sneak (cowardly) attack by the "unrec trolls" when that one rec goes down to zero!!!!!
It's never people who might have accidentally hit the unrec button by mistake, even though I've seen at least two people in the last day or so admit they did it by accident.
No, it's always the UNREC TROLLS!!!!!
Are there not enough constructive hobbies to go around in this world?
