And it's prominently displayed on the home page of a white person who happens to be gay.

I am in attack mode, but before I lay into him (because as a minority, he should know better) I wanted to see whether DUers think the symbol is anything other than white power propaganda.

Majorities aren't the only ones capable of discriminating against minorities. As such, I'm not particularly surprised if a gay white man might be a kkk member as well. Slavery was justfied and supported not only by men, but white women as well.

As far as the specifics of this goes though, if the whole "White Pride" thing was intended as a racist sentiment, like "White Power" is to the kkk, then...that sucks. I think it's unlikely that the person is taking pride in their ethnicity (which would be okay by me) since he referenced color, not ethnicity. Still. I dont' know the origin of the symbol or phrase, so I won't endorse or condemn it either way.

it feels to be representative of white supremacist but looking it up it has like three meanings. used i germany before hitler and then later hitler brought it back exclusively for his officers. motorcycle groups use it. but not seeming like being used because of motorcycles in my area. have been curious myself.
