'Crazy' Sergeant Allegedly Continued Murdering Innocent Civilians...

The allegations are reminiscent of the military's darkest days in Vietnam.

Again, young GI's caught up in a difficult war are accused of widespread drug use and the random killing of innocent civilians, apparently for sport or thrills.

But the parents of one of the five soldiers charged with the premeditated murder of unarmed Afghans say that before one of the murders they tried to warn the Army and a U.S. Senator – and no one helped.

Now their son, 20-year-old specialist Adam Winfield, is charged with taking part in a killing three months after the Winfield family tried to blow the whistle...

Some who find themselves trapped in that nightmare world try to escape. Others, the truly deranged, become enthusiastic participants. Many get "way too" enthusiastic, and a very few of those are punished by having to go to some showcase trial where the odds are that the ratio between the severity of the crime and of the punishment would set by the My Lai/Calley standard. A standard repeated with every massacre by US personnel ever since.

9. Just a footnote to this - I lived in Florida in 2006 & asked Sen. Nelsons office for help too.

I had to complain to the Senator that one of his workers was not doing her job after many attempts to get her to reply to me, and I also complemented another one of his workers in the office that was exemplary! I think he just brushed the news off about this woman and didn't even get back with me on it. I bet the woman is still there! I wrote to this woman and asked her to please go somewhere else because people that come to the Senator for help need dedicated and passionate people that are committed to help his constituents! I am not surprised at this news.

7. My grandson is in Afghanistan. I cannot imagine a worse situation to be in than stuck in a foreign

war with a "hasished", psychopathic Sgt, your superor officer. Damned if you do and maybe killed if you don't.

Brings back the term "hashishian" and the deranged Sgt is an "assassin."
