'Teh Stoopid' at work in GA Gov. race: ethics-challenged Deal leads former Dem. gov. Barnes
Edited on Tue Sep-28-10 01:29 PM by CurtEastPoint
Barnes.

How? Deal is a smarmbucket with financial and ethics issues out the wazoo and he's LEADING?

An InsiderAdvantage/WSB-TV poll conducted in the race to be Georgia’s next governor showed Republican Nathan Deal has regained a substantial lead over Democrat Roy Barnes.

The poll shows Deal leading by eight points just ten days after a poll showed Deal and Barnes deadlocked. Voters were asked if the election to determine the governor of Georgia were held today, which candidate would they vote for?

The results showed former former Rep. Deal with 45 percent and former Governor Barnes with 37 percent. Libertarian candidate John Monds remained at 5 percent.

13 percent are still undecided, a number that grew slightly from the last survey. The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 5 percent

1. Scary. And we were hoping for Deal to win the republicon nomination as the weaker candidate
Now it looks like we may be putting up with that idiot. We'd damned well better get out, make some noise, and get Barnes elected. Barnes wouldn't have been able to do much, not with republicons controlling both chambers, but at least he'd have slowed them down. It's downright scary to think of Deal in the governor's mansion.

2. Its funny, but among my cohort we thought Handel was weaker because

too many in backwards thinking types wouldn't be able to make themselves vote for a woman. Its sad when one has to rely on misogyny to get your candidate elected.

Deal's lead is fragile. Look how the Repubs abandoned Oxendine when his troubles were revealed. Barnes needs to push harder, get meaner, campaign smarter, and he may squeak out a win.

3. MSM has helped him

Doing the sympathy thing because of his financial woes. They skip the part
about what a horrible governor he would be. Hisfinancial woes are due to
greed,plain and simple.
