3. Yeah, I don't get that. Where are you supposed to look?
Do they think this is still the late 80s/90s? You don't cold call or go directly to the company anymore.

8. I found my current job online.
Best job ever. Great bennies, awesome workplace, fantastic people...and it's in politics. People laugh when I say I responded to a Craigslist post while looking for freelance work; I worked freelance for a couple of months before being hired full time.

The story is largely bullshit. ANY way you are able to land a job is a good way.

10. Most companies now a days will not accept an application
unless it is done on line...some don't even have hard copy apps...


This guy wants the unemployed to hoof the pavement like the olden days...you'll get no where that way...I tried it, because I was getting antsy sitting around and waiting for someone to call on just one of my applications...every, single place I stopped said no...apply on line - that hiring was done through corporate or "the service" and they couldn't help me...


This person knows nothing...
