Fineman: Clinton is still the leader of the democratic party
He said this spontaneously on the Matthew's show while they were reviewing Clinton's excellent approval ratings, especially among independents.
Agree?

2. He couldn't let Roger Simon be the only one to throw some stupid out there.
Simon still won the dumbass of the segment award for his completely asinine comments about Obama's comments on his family and his Christianity.

3. Tweety's shows are more and more stupid. Yes. Clinton has good ratings because he has no
responsibilities. Gore has probably good ratings too. That has nothing to do with who the leader is.

4. Star quality does not = leadership
So, no, I don't agree with Howie-but then I almost never do.

8. Nah, Clinton is the leader of Clinton
He could care less about the Democratic party.

The Democratic party is more or less leaderless. Obama is the only Dem able to claim that title and he doesn't want the job and nobody else is up to it.

Clinton is enjoying what he always craved - acceptance by the DC elite.

Fineman is still just as big a douchebag as he was back when he was crowned media whore of the year by the late great Media Whores Online.

9. Most former Presidents have high ratings because they don't
make controversial decisions anymore. BC IS still a very likable guy and always will be. I doubt the rest of the Dem Party think he's still the party leader though.

10. Certain pundits have a bizarre obsession with the Clintons. I don't get it.
It's really weird.

14. Failed Impeachment
I think the failed impeachment has a significant amount to do with it.
That really prompted people to take strong opinions supporting Clinton
and some see his triumph over that as a great victory over Republicans
and him as a hero for surviving it.

12. The NYC and DC media crowd were always Hillary's base.

The ones who kept calling her the front-runner until the first day people started voting. What a moronic thing to say.

13. I really really like ex President Clinton BUT he is not
the leader of the Democratic Party. I sure as hell wish he was. The thing with Clinton is he knows HOW TO TAKE CHARGE AND GET THINGS DONE. I don't think Obama it up to that quite yet. I really think he ran too soon. Maybe because he knew that no matter which Democrat ran in 2008 they would win, and that would be the best shot he had.
