5. I believe this ad carried on MSNBC today is what the

OP is referring to, you be the judge. I think it will be an extremely effective ad for the Rethugs, it plays to all their prejudices. "This November lets chose a smaller more caring government one that remembers us". I take (us) to mean (us wasps not those other people). You know the ones that took our country.

In fact, I don't think I saw any "ethnic-looking" white people either.

I'm Eastern European/Jewish with dark hair and dark eyes, and I don't think I would have looked white enough for that ad.
