I must have touched a nerve with Lanny Davis.
Edited on Sat May-19-07 09:36 AM by liberaldemocrat7
Lanny Davis appeared on CSPAN Washington Journal this morning. I sent him email this morning stating that the Bush foreign policy with the Taliban provoked the 9-11 attacks and he replied right away this morning by email angrily and tersely. I suppose that Mr. Davis would get angry at the 67 percent right now answering the CNN poll stating that US foreign policy appeared responsible in part for the 9-11 attacks.

What's with this so called Liberal? He considers Bush an honorable man. I do not and I also blame Bush for the Vioxx deaths, a good deal of the Katrina deaths and the Sago mine deaths and the over 500,000 innocent Iraqi deaths due to an invasion based upon lies for oil. Apparently Mr. Davis did not want to get reminded of this pattern of deaths created by the Bush administration that had gotten him so mad at me.

1. Feh. If Lanny Davis is a liberal I'm the Queen of Sheba.
He's a DINO of the worst sort -- supported Lieberman against Lamont, among other things. Here's what James Wolcott has to say about him:

"This is the sort of idiot we're inflicted with, the perfect representative of the Beltway Democrat who cautions against politicizing anything remotely political for fear it might give David Broder a spot of indigestion. Imagine what the Newt Gingrich of the early nineties would have done if he had had something like this handed to him on a platter--he wouldn't have sent it back to the kitchen. He would have worked it for everything it was worth, and more. But Beltway weenies are too timid and prissy to exploit a golden opportunity. Everyone knows the Abramoff scandal has "Republican" stencilled on every side of it and if you won't/can't use it to jump all over the Republican Party and the DeLay machine, what the hell are you even doing in the Democratic Party? As more details surface, the Abramoff cesspool is going to make the K-Street crowd and their Republicans on retainer look even worse than they do now, and here's Davis waving the white cocktail napkin of surrender and urging preemptive pullback. Beltway Dems like Davis and the DLC crowd don't want to politicize the Iraq war, or the Alito hearings, or the Katrina clusterfuck, or the NSA spying scandal; they shy away from every prospective fight and prevent any ongoing debate or controversy from gaining traction. Just as Jack Murtha's bombshell was gaining momentum, in droops Joe Lieberman to back up the president with a gift-wrapped testimonial. Yes, I know Lanny Davis is not an elected official but he was representing the Democratic side along with Harold Ford against John Fund of WSJ and Arizona congressman Jeff Flake (R). Given how Davis was fawning over Flake (who was making mild reformist noises about the need to clean house)--saying that he wished he could vote for someone so bright and sensible--and how Ford was prudently urging us to stay the course in Iraq and Afghanistan, it was more of a barbershop quartet than a doubles match. Kudlow, of course, couldn't have been more pleased by the civility and consensus shown by the fab four. Lanny Davis and Harold Ford were his kind of Democrats--reasonable, moderate, mainstream, and completely housebroken. They were good little guests."

2. I don't know what' happened to Lanny. He used to be a very
rational and logical guy. I didn't always agree with him on everything, but he USED to always present a realistic opinion on many issues. It surprised me that he quit that WH consulting group last week. They Really must have done something unbelievable for HIM to abruptly quit!

3. Lanny Davis, Yale classmate and fraternity brother of GW Bush; early apologist
for Bush after his installation as president in 2000. (also classmate of Lieberman).

The incestuous relationships in govt, often grounded in certain circles at Yale and Harvard, are killing our country.

It seems to me that the people who hang out with GW are least able to appraise his actions correctly. They are taken in by the charm or sociopathy that masks his true intentions.

4. Davis was a lobbyist for Pakistan prior to 9-11
He's not a policy expert, he's only in it for the money, like so many other beltway Dems.

Their priority is paying the mortgage and kids college tuition, not advancing good public policy. Sadly, our Dem leaders in DC listen to them more than the voters.

5. Scum sucking pond scum
I can remember a few years back when this asshole was pissing his pants in anticipation of riding on AF l with Chimpco.

This person is so disgusting whenever I see him on TV I immediately turn it off. He gives me the creeps, he is just a total POS.
