Poll question: If I show up and vote....
....Democratic this November, and in two years if I still feel as disappointed as I do today, will I be excused from voting in 2012?

People have to make lots of tough choices in life. You go in the ballot box and choose who will be marginally better. You are part of the process. We have enough idiot voters that would rather sit on their couches and watch TV.

But why should people too apathetic or disappointed to vote care one way or another who gets in power. The decided to have no say, so why they hell should they have their complaints listened to. Republicans get the gavel, why should if matter to those who don't vote. They should sit in front of their TV and watch Biggest Loser.

Vote for a Democrat on election day and we have a chance of making things a little better, or you vote for a Republican with your ass and make things worse. Not voting is an action, choice for the worst possible candidate. Actions matter.

During the next two years search for great people to be Democratic candidates, then vote them in. That's how it'll really change. Not being forced to vote or doing nothing.

7. Hey, if you don't want to vote, don't vote.
But do the rest of us a favor: don't bitch. You forfeit the right to bitch and moan, in my opinion, if you won't participate.

It helps, I think, to remember that there's more to participation than just voting, and if you keep getting disappointed in how others are serving the people you can always run yourself.
