We need to start a petition to Baker Act Jim Demint. He is so out of control, there must be some |
|
mental challenges. Let's help him with his little problem of wanting to shut down the government just because he can.

The only "Baker Act" I know is a Florida statute that obviously wouldn't apply to Demint. Is there some other Baker Act that would apply?

As much as I abhor Jim DeMint, he is far from insane. Sociopathic perhaps, but not insane. He is the darling of the Teabaggers and the radical religious right, and is simply doing what he does best, throwing red meat to his rapidly growing base.
I have been watching this power hungry egomaniac for a long time, and I believe he's getting ready for a run at the WH. I hope I'm wrong, but all the signs are there.
Single-handedly shutting down the government will make him even more of a hero to conservatives than he is now. This is nothing more than proving how powerful he is, and they will eat it up.
As the Tea Party overtakes and intimidates the GOP, DeMint is aligning himself with the new movers and shakers. and solidifying his "base" in the process.
Again, I hope I'm wrong, because a DeMint presidency would make us all yearn for the good old days under Bush and Cheney.

4. I, too, live in South Carolina... |

...and when I heard what ol' DeMented was up to, I emailed his office noting my objections.
Sorta' like spitting into the wind....

6. I think he and those in SC are crooked as hell because |

Rawls might not have won the senate seat, but they were scared of him. Why do you think this republican entrenched power party got Greene elected. There is no way that someone like Greene would be elected over a well known, well liked opponent like Rawls. I think until these programmed electronic machines are thrown the republicans will continue to gain ground and "WIN" ELECTIONS. Remember when they had paper ballots. The republicans failed to get the majorities. That's because it was hard to fake them then. But with the way they have these machines "fixed" they will continue to win. And I think that in 2006 and 2008 they were so egotistical they failed to judge the rage of the public at them and Bush. If they had I will bet anything they would have stolen more votes to win.
And can you imagine, can you really really imagine the landslide that Obama "might" have had it they hadn't stolen all those votes.

7. I'll vote for the Dems, |
|
with the notable exception of Alvin Greene. Guess I'll have to go 3rd party or leave it blank, 'cause there's no way I'd ever vote for DeMint or any other repub.
I agree about the voting machines, and I think the Dem primary stinks to high heaven. The fact that it was "investigated" by a republican run state justice dept. just added insult to injury.
