I have to believe that the polls are showing the Dems starting to gain because of the progressives |
and that is not only good, but if true would also underline the fact that perhaps the administration is starting to realize that ignoring, or at times dissing the left or progressives was not the most productive course.
Yes, the election is close, and the stakes are high, but with a significant number of people leaving the administration who were not always the most progressive, just perhaps the administration is getting the message.

2. You're probably right. Independents are making it close but |
progressives can be what turns back the teabaggers.

4. I think it has more to do with elections drawing near and people starting to pay attention. |
For two years now it has been all about the Tea Baggers and how much they Hate.....People tuned that crap out and went on with their daily lives.. Now it is only a few weeks away from an election and the Ads are beginning to really start hitting the airwaves.. People are beginning to start paying attention and once that happens the Tea Baggers will be nothing but a blip in our history....They have nothing but Hatred and most Americans don't want to hear it..Liberals that have been paying attention, mainly because they are into politics would NEVER think about not voting... It is what they live for....The casual threats from Liberal sites such as DU by people like me were baseless threats and everyone knows it.. Rahm was right, I have no where else to go...However I have been disappointed by many things that have not been done and many that have, and what else could I say to get any attention for my concerns? They knew it was impotent, I knew it was impotent, and yet What other threat could I possibly issue that would get even a small amount of notice. Threats are never a good thing but I don't have any money to bribe them like the Big Wigs do. The ONLY thing I have that they want is my vote.. It is my ONLY leverage and they are plenty smart enough to know it is actually no leverage at all. I do take heart though through the whining from the Whitehouse that they have at least heard from us..I think Democrats are going to do just fine this election, but I do hope somehow a few of us crybaby Liberals were heard just a little...

6. I actually believe Democrats are more inspired than Republicans |
Republicans, not Tea Baggers are disillusioned and demoralized. they don't like the fanatic direction their Party has taken. There is a very good chance they will not be all that enthused to go out and support those radicals. Democrats on the other hand do not in any way shape form or fashion want Tea Baggers in Office so they will turn out...I think all of the enthusiasm we have been hearing about is really just a somewhat small percentage of Hate filled Americans that have done everything in their power to get attention..Most Republicans are not really Tea Baggers...
