Was O'Keefe planning to drug that reporter and have her raped?
Edited on Wed Sep-29-10 12:55 PM by Marr
This may seem like a reach, but seriously-- did any of you watch the reporter's account of the experience?

http://crooksandliars.com/david-neiwert/unbearable-lameness-james-okeefe-att#comments

The behavior of O'Keefe's female accomplice strikes me as incredibly odd, if all he was planning to do was "punk" the reporter with embarrassing questions. That's very common today-- we have comedy shows about it, for crying out loud. And you don't need to be isolated in a remote location, on a small boat, to ask embarrassing questions.

Her explanation to the reporter that she felt she had to warn her because she's "a moral person" really makes me wonder what was going to happen there. O'Keefe was apparently planning to give her a drink in a remote location, which in itself would make me wonder. Taken with all the other little elements of the reporter's account, it paints an awfully suspicious picture.

3. K&R #5 Why do they keep calling him "YOUNG conservative instead of
"Butt-ugly weasel who's never gotten laid Conservative"?!1

Plus, his unconsciously self-revealing, "hypocrisy in CNN using the inherent sexuality of these women to sell viewers and for ratings, passing up more esteemed and respectable journalists who aren't bubble-headed bleach blondes and keep the focus on CNN." Uh, like Faux doesn't use bubble-headed sexpots, but of course THEIR curtains match the carpet!1

4. I believe this punk will wind up in prison for a very long time
He's a sociopath, and not a very bright one at that. Having been emboldened by getting away with shit for so long, he's likely going to 'up the ante' each time. I hope his ass gets nailed before he hurts someone.

7. Extremely sinister given the following description
This is from Boudreau herself, describing the scene as she arrived at the location:

When Boudreau arrived at the address, a house located on a tributary of the Patuxent River, Santa approached her with a tape recorder in her hand and said she wanted to talk in the car, Boudreau said.

"I noticed she had a little bit of dirt on her face, her lip was shaking, she seemed really uncomfortable and I asked her if she was OK," Boudreau said. "The first thing she basically said to me was, 'I'm not recording you, I'm not recording you. Are you recording me?' I said, 'No, I'm not recording you,' and she showed me her digital recorder and it was not recording."

How did Ms. Santa get "dirt on her face?" Why was her lip quivering? Why did she run out to warn Ms. Boudreau? Why would it be necessary to ask if she was OK?

Obviously, Ms. Boudreau is being appropriately circumspect in describing the scene, probably because she doesn't know what happened in the moments before her arrival, and she is trained not to speculate on such matters. But that description remains rich with implications. I think we can safely speculate that Ms. Santa is the source for the emails and taped phone conversations as well. What the fuck happened in that house in the moments before Ms. Boudreau's arrival.

And why?

Chilling.

9. San an interview with that reporter this AM she said CNN is doing a piece on this issue
"CNN takes an unprecedented look inside the young conservative activist movement in the documentary "Right On The Edge," which airs Oct. 2 and 3 at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. EST."

Reguarding the punking she said we will have all the answeres for you when this airs.....hope they nail O'Keefe's hide to the wall.

10. I read the "document" twice and I'm still not sure what the plan was
somehow, he would have this reporter arrive, and act like an ass around her, and that would somehow embarrass CNN?

12. They're spelling his name right.
I believe he wasn't trying to get her on the boat, instead he was trying to get her to report this story. Now he'll say he just wanted to plant the false story to see if she'd buy it.

19. if a man is so lacking in morals with intent to put her unknowingling on net
in a sexually exploitive manner, then he is certainly willing to go beyond that, without consent in order to meet his goal.

it is a reasonable guess that this man would drug if need be.

i think it should be asked of him.

18. Wow-- I just read the way he described his plan ahead of time.
Edited on Wed Sep-29-10 10:20 PM by Marr
"Instead, I've decided to have a little fun. Instead of giving her a serious interview, I'm going to punk CNN. Abbie has been trying to seduce me to use me, in order to spin a lie about me. So, I'm going to seduce her, on camera, to use her for a video. This bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who comes on at five will get a taste of her own medicine, she'll get seduced on camera and you'll get to see the awkwardness and the aftermath."

This statement doesn't make any sense at all, except possibly as a little pre-assault defense. He claimed she'd been trying to "seduce" him.

20. I agree with you that there is more to this story
And that the reporter's life may have been in danger if she got on that boat with him.

It appears that CNN did not report this as a crime. To me, at the very least, it looked like attempted kidnapping for the purpose of sexual battery, at minimum.

There will likely be no way to learn if he planned to drug her, because clearly all of the evidence has been removed.

Sick little jerk. All of his "punks" seem to have some sexual element to them, or misogynistic attacks on women who overwhelm him.

21. Given his history, it's certainly possible.
He comes from a culture where getting women drunk or drugged is considered fair game.

For the woman who knew to warn the reporter certainly suggests she knew something worse than "punking" was afoot.

22. I have a horrible feeling
That he may have attempted a "rehearsal" with Izzy Santa, and that was what prompted her to warn the reporter.
