Make no mistake -- the "Tea Party" is just the GOP with a name change.
When your name turns to shit, the GOP just changes the name. Standard practice.

After tons of bad PR, Enron's accountant Arthur Anderson changed their name to Accenture. Still in business.

After tons of bad PR, cancer-causer Phillip Morris changed their name to Altria. Still in business.

After eight years of George W. Bush literally destroying the country, the GOP has changed their name to "The Tea Party." But only the Tea Partyers are fooled. It's still just the GOP.

Don't let this bullshit astroturf movement fool you. A selfish, lying, bigot by any name is still a Republican.

1. There is no such thing as The Tea Party. I keep saying that over and over gain. No ballot
(please correct me if I'm wrong) will say Tea Party Candidate this election.

3. I think Taibbi is right, actually. The baggers are this year's model of the angry white male
that's always ready to explode in rage when Republicans are out of power. They're not conscious of doing the Republicans' bidding, necessarily. They may even believe they're a separate entity unto themselves that could survive the GOP's demise. Sure, they'll be the PURE conservative party, the one that's really going to shut down the out-of-control government, minimize taxes for all, put national defense at the center of the federal mandate, overturn Roe v. Wade, make all politics local, raise the profile of Jesus in the public square. But they'll find they can't do a fucking thing without the GOP, which doesn't give a shit about any of that beyond using it to get pliable Congress twerps elected, twerps who will keep the government's hands off the controls of hyper-big business and finance.

12. Either everyone has forgotten that GOP sponsored the T-party and it's run out of a PR firm....
or they never knew it ????????????

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party had ready, willing and able supporters who would

have been happy to RALLY for MEDICARE FOR ALL . . .

Any one in the party call them out to rally -- ????
