New Ad Hits Vitter on Prostitute Scandal

By CAMPBELL ROBERTSON AND ASHLEY PARKER

The Senate race in Louisiana has long been a test of whether the state’s voters are more turned off by the Obama administration or by the serious sins of its junior senator, David Vitter. The anti-Obama sentiment seems to have the upper hand in all the polls, but Representative Charlie Melancon, Mr. Vitter’s Democratic rival, has been trying to change that by reminding voters of what his campaign terms “Forgotten Crimes.”

Supporters of health reform said it would never happen. Maybe they got caught up in their own rhetoric. Maybe they just didn’t want to believe it was possible. But rationing in America has started.

By December, the Food and Drug Administration is expected to revoke approval of the drug Avastin for the treatment of advanced breast cancer.

Louisiana Republican Senator David Vitter has described the anticipated move as “the beginning of a slippery slope leading to more and more rationing under the government takeover of health care.”

3. And you know, you can't prove to them that

the government HASN'T taken over health care. Try to tell a teabagger that. They get angry and their faces get all tense. Using the scary "rationing" word sends these people into seizures, even though I defy anyone to explain to me how pulling an unsafe drug off the market is "rationing".

2. Wait; can Democrats do that? Is that legal?
You mean, we can bring up Republicans' pasts and their record and other stuff? Who knew? Gosh, I hope the FEC doesn't get wind of this; they'll have to launch an investigation. Of Melancon, of course.

5. What does this say about Louisiana?
They're so turned off by Obama's health care reform law (of which countless Louisianians will benefit from) that they are willing to send back a known whore-chaser to Washington, EVEN THOUGH his "Democratic" opponent, Charlie "Charlie Boy" Melancon is almost as conservative as Vitter is???

You folks down in Louisiana, aren't ya'll tired of being the butt of jokes? For goodness sakes' sakes, vote Vitter out!
