Murtha confronts whiny Republican
http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/news_theswamp/2007/05/murtha_makes_a_.html

During a series of House votes Thursday, Murtha walked to the chamber's Republican side to confront Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., a 43- year-old former FBI agent. Earlier this month, Rogers had tried unsuccessfully to strike a Murtha earmark from an intelligence spending bill. The item would restore $23 million for the National Drug Intelligence Center, a facility in Murtha's Pennsylvania district that some Republicans say is unneeded.

According to Rogers' account, which Murtha did not dispute, the Democrat angrily told Rogers he should never seek earmarks of his own because "you're not going to get any, now or forever."

"This was clearly designed to try to intimidate me," Rogers said in an interview Friday. "He said it loud enough for other people to hear."

3. This is really a sore spot with me
Republicans for YEARS bullied congressional Democrats. Now, after four whole months of a Democratic majority, WATB Repubs are playing the victim card.

Fuck 'em.

9. Whiny GOPers are going to try and bully Dems again on Monday
They are going to try and ram a sanction down on Murtha for putting through this needed Drug earmark.

GOPers need to bully. If they are not bullying they are not breathing.

12. House rules forbid admiting vote horsetrading - so great that he is pushing back but I wish
he had not admitted to the future vote based on a members past vote - if he really did admit to that. From what I read, he implied that but did not say it explicitly.

no harm, no foul.

6. Murtha should've kicked his whiny titty-baby ass while he was at it.
Pukes are such effin' babies. Big titty babies. Take your earmark, Rogers, and suck on it.

10. Someone ought to stick a pacifier in Rogers' mouth!
As a matter of fact, why can't we sent a shipment of pacifiers to ALL the republicans?

11. The orchestrated attacks against Murtha is building
because he is so convincing to the public when he
speaks out against the war.

I don't want to give these sites and organizations notoriety
but it is organized and financed within the republican party

13. Not kosher...
Didn't we put a moratorium on earmarks? This does not look good for our ethical congress.
