In or out of power, it's always been the same.

No wonder they keep coming back.

7. I like to watch the M$M because it helps me understand
how the pathological lairs, sycophants and propagandist spin their craft and thus lead the American voters into error so as to benefit of the elite predator class.

4. The Republicans are the "default" party
and the Democrats are the clean up crew.

It's been that way since Nixon.

because of some supposed "enthusiasm gap". :eyes:

What bothers me the most about the teabaggers is how much they're treated as though their concerns are more legitimate than they are "sour grapes" IMHO about the last Presidential election. They would have much more *credibility* for me if they'd been out protesting Bush half as much during the eight years he was in office and actually DOING all of the things that they're now blaming President Obama and the Democrats in Congress of doing. However, I suspect that most of them were actually quite supportive of him and his *agenda*. Certainly, the Republicans in Congress (those left after 2006 and 2008 anyway) whom served in Congress while Bush was (P)resident and their supporters didn't seem to have a problem with budget deficit-busting tax cuts that weren't "paid for", taxpayer bailouts of financial firms, "wars of choice", jailing and torturing "enemies of the state" without due process, and abridgment of civil liberties in general.

12. You hit the nail right on the head.
The billionaires run the media, and they are all out for their own interests.. it would be better for them if the Republicans are in power so of course they make Democrats look bad.. and they are doing a good job convincing the sheeple to vote GOP.. especially that piece of shit known as Rupert Murdoch..

5. I started noticing that with the way they treated Carter.
It's just getting much more obvious today when an entire network is carrying water or the RNC. In spite of the 40 year demonization of Democrats, 1/2 the voters seem to understand this and can put this in the proper perspective.

17. I too noticed what they did to Carter
At the time--I don't remember who-- it was said that the powers that rule were really really pissed about Nixon being exposed by the media.
They promised to get even and never let it happen again.

But then came the internets.....:)

6. the media is big corporation
anyone they "prop up" is the enemy of us. pure and simple, and more and more of the masses are getting it lately. these are hard times for a majority of us, and without jobs, many now have the time necessary to examine those in charge. imo, it's all a part of the great awakening in its birthing stage. I'm the ultimate optimist.

10. That's why I get most of my news from here.
And other Democratic-leaning sites. It's where I get the TRUTH, and not some GOP garbage the MSM puts out.. I do like Olbermann and Maddow, but most of the rest do nothing but constantly spout GOP talking points and IMO it's why Republicans will probably win in November. Personally I'm sick of the MSM constantly trashing Obama and the Democrats while giving the teabaggers a free ride, and it seems there's nothing we can do about it.

11. The funny thing is almost half think the media is too liberal...
And only 15% say it is too conservative.

It's really quite amazing considering one of the biggest, most influential networks is quite literally a propaganda arm for the Republican Party. Yet these perceptions continue right up till today:

http://www.gallup.com/poll/143267/Distrust-Media-Edges-Record-High.aspx

Nearly half of Americans (48%) say the media are too liberal, tying the high end of the narrow 44% to 48% range recorded over the past decade. One-third say the media are just about right while 15% say they are too conservative.

15. A good example
You know that about 85% of the people in LA KNOW absolutely nothing about Vitter and his diaper caper with the prostitutes. The Democrat running against him made ads telling about the prostitute thing. Now the republicans are posting and having fits because he is doing so and saying the Democrats are sinking low. With all the lies and manufactured crap the republicans have been putting in ads about Democrats I am amazed that their head doesn't explode with all the lies. Guess it is OK for republicans to slur and lie about the Democrats but boy let a Democrat tell the truth about some thing the republican did and they absolutely have a fit.
