Boudreau On 'Bizarre Love Boat Situation'

Abbie Boudreau, the CNN reporter whose attempted meeting with James O'Keefe exposed an alleged plan to embarrass her with a sex-themed prank, said the incident showed O'Keefe "has no boundaries."

The meeting was part of Boudreau's reporting for a series set to appear this weekend on CNN that profiles several young conservative activists, many of whom follow O'Keefe, she said.

"I have all of them on the record saying they consider him to be an influential part of the young conservative movement," Boudreau told me today. "One thing we learned is that there are few rules and few boundaries."

Among the conservatives she cited that are profiled in the series are Lila Rose, Christian Hartsock, Ryan Sorba, and Jason Mattera.

"A lot of the people we follow in the documentary look up to him and respect him," she added. "I do not know how they will react to what happened."

What happened is the incident on Aug. 17 that has just come to light now as CNN reveals the details.

Boudreau, 32, is a nine-year veteran reporter who has been at CNN for three years. As part of her reporting for the series, she was set to meet with O'Keefe, the controversial activist best known for his past ACORN video stunt.

When I watched the part that was aired all I kept thinking was "Yeah nice ass but is that what you are going for here? Maybe it is, maybe this is the only way he feels confident around women."

Her ass (sometimes from 50 yards away) was half of the hoax video.

The funniest part was that she so easily passed as a whore, her Republican dad must be just so proud.

The guy is a joke. Only in our news bubble is her discussed let alone being worthy of further investigation. I am glad that she was smart enough to get out of there- it sounds more like a rape scenario more than anything.

Sadly, the net effect is to move the political spectrum generally to the right...still "liberal" in comparison to the insane/openly-fascist segment of the Repubs, but progressives are marginalized more than ever. And it leads to awesome motivational speeches to the base along the lines of "stop whining" and "look at the alternative". It's goddamn depressing.

O'Keefe's methods aren't exactly a secret. And his integrity and credibility are zero--instead of being "fascinated" by his destruction of ACORN, CNN should be condemning it because it was COMPLETELY unfounded. If people told Boudreau they consider O'Keefe to be "an influential part of the young conservative movement," she should have asked, "Why are you allowing yourself to be influenced by a liar and a criminal?" More to the point, CNN, why deliberately give O'Keefe even MORE publicity? Besides, aren't grass-roots conservatives getting ENOUGH media attention? Giving airtime to grass-roots liberals would be more fair and balanced!

10. Okay, so O'keefe is a conservative activist

pulling pranks and stunts, according the memes floating around the "liberal media". I was going to attempt to describe how creepy that description is, but I have no words.

Pranks and stunts are like when my high school classmates picked up my Volkswagen and carried it up the steps of the school and put it in the entrance. Pranks and stunts are like when those same classmates and I carried an open can of Dinty Moore stew to the top of the ferris wheel, dumped it on some poor passers-by, and made rolfing sounds when it hit. Pranks and stunts are like when I put a rubber worm in a bag of gummy worms and offered the bag to my grandson.

This crap from O'keefe ain't no pranks where I'm from.
