Jamaica is so fugged

The rain is still pelting down with thunder and lightning - several deaths and even more missing as several bridges, gullies and roads have been destroyed. Potholes galore and unbelievable flooding...though not on our road.

We lost power since morning and decided not to turn on the generator until evening. Of course as soon as hubby set it up, power returned.

Hope this washes away our Dudus government. They are truly fucked because there are no hurricane claims coming since there was no hurricane.
Bottom line - devastation from Negril to Morant Point and the rain continues. Oops there's another system behind this one.
The best news was that the ODPEM recommended that we all stay home - looks like we'll be working from home for the rest of the week. :D

4. We're the lucky ones
Hubby went to take some stuff for some folks we know and he had to turn back. It's a mess and getting worse. I haven't seen island wide rain like this since the 70s.

13. Heard about this Malaise
The bridge at Harbor View has washed out. Bull Bay is cut off from Kingston for a while.
I'm sure things will clean up quickly but I am a very optomistic person.

Stay dry!

14. Just wait for the sunshine and then we'll talk about that
Harbour View bridge...fucking corruption again.

It's a mess but hopefully it will wash away this government.
There's massive flooding in Germany and Poland as well.

19. Even the US Embassy reduced services
today.

This should be over by tomorrow night - we hope.
What an unusual weather system. Many more gullies will crash tonight and flood out the poor.

30. Oh god, not just Jamaica`
Hey at least you did not have a major civil defense mobilization for a landslide that, thankfully, was not that bad. I mean all those tools that were staged on ready five were needed ELSEWHERE.
