Poll Shows Murkowski Leading in Alaska

A new Cracium Research poll in Alaska finds Sen. Lisa Murkowski leading the U.S. Senate race with 41%, followed by Joe Miller (R) at 30% and Scott McAdams (D) at 19%.

A CNN/Time poll released earlier shows Murkowski and Miller in a statistical dead heat.

Nate Silver: "The issue with each of these polls, however, is that they made no particular accommodation to account for the fact that Ms. Murkowski will be a write-in candidate, as her name was mentioned alongside Mr. Miller and Mr. McAdams."

1. good point by Nate Silver...
I don't even know what to make of the poll considering Murkowski will be a write in. People that aren't that interested in politics might pick her in a poll b/c of name recognition. Not sure how they would vote on a ballot that didn't have her name on it. I would guess for the R tho.

Anything can happen. Especially since McAdams is still introducing himself to voters.

potential Democratic/Democratic-leaning voters.

What a shame.

Well, I'm still supporting McAdams, anyway,

6. 4 in 10 dems will vote for Murkowski

Just to prevent a Miller win. That's just sad. Let the repugs fight it out for the R vote (split it)
and McAdams wins by having positive ads.
