This is good work. This is important.

Many GLBT youth are constantly bombarded with hateful lies about what being queer means (sinner, diseased, God hates you, a freak, doomed to misery, you must submit to psychological torture to be redeemed, etc.)

In many cases, this is coming from their own parents, as well as their churches and peers. You know what "keeping the homosexual agenda out of schools" really means? It means that there is no compassionate countermessage allowed to dispute all the hate, not even the most tepid ones.

Many GLBT youth know early on there is something "different" about them. Puberty (ages 9-14) is the most common age of the revelation, but I've known several who knew earlier than that.

Kindergarten kids get puppy-love "crushes"--some have theirs on members of the same sex, and pick up the hateful message against that even at that age.

It's not enough to just not teach hate. Pro-active acceptance talks need to start REALLY early and be reinforced often.
