Irony sauced with hypocrisy...NPR, Talk of the Nation, this morning. Reagan's budget director
blathering about how people have been living beyond their means because they had been "lied to for the last 40 years." Tis the sole reason for the economic straits we found ourselves in. Had to run into the pharmacy and came back to some other trickle-onner complaining about how the middle class is the problem. Then I recalled Mark McKinnon being on a round of programs yesterday and touting his new organization as the sane wing of the Rs and saying essentially the same thing with very much more verbage. Jeb Bush was interviewed by Scarborough (who was all dewy eyed and glowy and in the finest suck up mode this morning) and he was kinda dissing the ordinary American and taking a sideswipe at the 'baggers in the same vein. Joey was nearly peeing his pants at the thought of Jeb possibly running for president. Of course, neither McKinnon or Bush appear to recall the excesses of the * administration and its Congress. Those years just didn't happen.

Folks, this is how the Rs are trying to rebrand themselves. BS and amnesia have replaced smoke and mirrors. It's up to us to come back at it full force and to get some dollars out there where it will get the message to the people so the nation does not fall for this again.
