My wife and I just realised that -other than in our home or in our car- we are almost
always on some surveillance camera. We went to a drug store and a shoe repair place, then to a shopping mall during a lull in the rain this morning. Cameras on the streets in the area of the druggist and shoemaker, cameras in the parking lot and all over the store at the mall.

We have an old car with no GPS or OnStar, so we are free from bugs there, and we have a living alarm system - a dog-rather than electronic devices connected to a network at home.

I assume I am being watched online, so I am going to go away and have pizza now.

7. when dissent is criminalized, those cameras will be our ruination
The cameras and the databases and the biometric "readers" will prevent Americans from exercizing their Constitutional liberties of free movement and free association, should it be necessary to dissent.

8. Remember Dissent is the highest form of
patriotism ......

my area has cameras in the stores ... none on the streets - yet-
but go up the road a bit to Virginia Beach ... the are everywhere ....

no GPS or onstar on my cars and the home alarm is a dog and a pump 12 ga with low velocity ammo ...
wife carries pepper and a taser .... still working to get her on the range ....

15. My response - not wearing a shirt, don't have hair, drink tea - no coffee today.
We DO have cordless landline phones and sat dish TV service that feeds info both ways...and a 12 ga to back up the dog (actually 2 of them). We each have cell phones, the cheap pay as you go kind. Our part of town doesn't have street cameras, but the chi-chi west side does.

I also have a weather satellite display of my area of PA, so I guess I would be on that each time I step outside if the res is as good as the intel satellites, which I have no doubt we appear on from time to time, picking figs or whatever in the yard (Hi, NSA!)

I really wanted the Democrats to get rid of the Patriot Act and Homeland Security and associated unconstitutional Bush products, but they seem to be in love with them.

I want to take this space to say that I'm sure the President is a great human being and that all you government personnell are doing a wonderful job...you are some of my favorite agencies, and I was asked to join the ASA a long time ago but turned them down to be a paratrooper instead. Oh, and pay no attention to that FBI file - that was long ago, and didn't really amount to much...
