The comic strip “Cathy” will end this Sunday.

Most men won’t admit that they don’t understand women, but I openly confess it.

Nonetheless, after reading “Cathy” for many years, I have a few clues as to why women, their interests, their concerns, their outlook on life, and their world view are so different from men.

Today's world is one hell of a depressing place. But reading the comics every morning offers a temporary escape. And “Cathy” has been among my favorites.

Goodbye Cathy. I’m going to miss you.

Besides, it was getting tired even before that. How many fat jokes can you use every month?

Our paper had a poll to ask what to replace it with. I'm hoping "Get Fuzzy" won, but I won't find out until next Sunday.
