Please, when the survey goes up, do not make it a topic of discussion in General Discussion where you try to pressure people to answer it one way or another, or claim that the paid disruptors are going to try to influence Democratic Underground by stuffing the ballot box with a particular answer, or claim to be the victim of a loaded question, or claim that the answers will be fabricated as an excuse for taking one action or another, or any other angle on it that I can't think of at the moment. This has the potential to be an informative measure, or another political football; please help it to be the former.

2. To clarify

There will be one open thread in GD to announce the survey, and then a number of pinned-and-locked threads in the big forums to keep it visible, but we are going to instruct the moderators to remove new posts about the survey that are posted outside of the GD thread, once the survey begins. That restriction will be lifted once the survey ends in two weeks time.
