Poll question: How Long Before Whitman Confesses She Knew All About IRS Letter At the Time?
You know it's coming sooner or later. Her handlers are already working on the timing of releasing her statement.

1. Never. Its her husband's handwriting, no?
She'll claim she was the busy executive and he managed the household extended-family/toilet cleaners.

2. Never. She has the "I've sinned, but I'm special" attitude.

Italian shoes. One pair of tie-dyed

One Swedish-made penis enlarger pump.

AUSTIN
(embarrassed)
That's not mine.

CLERK

One credit card receipt for Swedish-
made penis enlarger pump, signed
Austin Powers.

AUSTIN
I'm telling you, baby, that's not
mine.

CLERK
(reading)
One warranty card for Swedish-made

Austin Powers.

AUSTIN
I don't even know what this is.
This sort of thing ain't my bag,
baby.

Pumps and Me: This Sort of Thing Is
My Bag, Baby, by Austin Powers.

4. Never. It's not possible to prove that she ever saw it.
She'll never admit it.

7. They might have the proof, but they're letting her twist in the wind.
The housekeeper might know of another document that Meg signed. They could be trying to smoke her out on it, possibly because Allred doesn't have it in her possession but believes it exists. They could skunk her into revealing something else. Or, they could try to trip her up by not getting her facts straight and consistent. that's the problem with lying - you have to remember which lie you told to which person.

10. Whitman will just claim that any incriminating evidence has been forged
Without provenance, it will come down to her word against that of Allred and the former housekeeper.

People who are inclined to believe Whitman will continue to do so, and vice-versa.

6. There could be video of her reading the document, and she'd still deny it.
Honesty is not a requirement for a Rethug. In fact, the party considers it a liability.

8. She'll never fess up but it won't matter
Some people can get away with flat out lies and not lose public support. Bill Clinton was one of them. You knew he was lying but he was kind of charming and the lie was only about a BJ so who cared. It also helped that those who were the most outraged about his lies were a bunch of assholes who overplayed their hand.

It's different with Whitman. She isn't at all a sympathetic figure. She isn't very likeable. She's unattractive and speaks in a monotone. She appears haughty and condescending. People will not forgive her for lying and most will not be swayed by her denials.

The Brown campaign and the Democratic party just needs to sit back now and let her destroy herself. She will not benefit from repeatedly denying this. The more visibility she gets the more her negatives go up.
