It is getting hard not to quietly root for Ms. Angle. Reid must go from his leadership post, like McClellan had to go from the Army of the Potomac, and only defeat at the polls will remove him; defeat by a certifiable lunatic, whose very presence in the Senate of the United States will be both disgrace and disaster to our country, would stand as a fitting rebuke from history to a truly craven and feckless failure, ensuring he will be remembered by history at his true weight of disgust. And just perhaps, this will teach our Party to select its Senate leadership from Democrats who hail from solid Democratic states, and can be relied on to remember what Party they are leading, and lead it....

5. What didn't he do this time? Or is this just a general overall complaint? |
|
If we hold the majority in the Senate and Reid is reelected, will he automatically retain his leadership role? Because I'd really like to see if someone else would do better.
It would be nice to see some zest, some passionate advocacy for progressive ideas, but what are our chances for that, really?
Daschle wasn't any better than Reid, IMO, so I'm wondering if you have to be a particular flavor of bland to be a Democratic leader.

He's just taking the heat for the fact that a majority doesn't mean we get everything we want in the Senate. Anyone who stands out, like the POTUS, is simply blamed for that.

10. Well then how will you good friend Harry perform when he had NO majority |
|
Leadership with a Majority is all that is needed for recess appointments. But lame excuses is so much easier for the water carriers for the DLC types.

Maybe it is time to tell Democratic candidates for the U.S. Senate this year -- and those not up this year -- that we want them to commit to electing a new majority leader next January.
It ... is ... time ... for ... Reid ... to ... go.

11. You want to try an edit on that OP, so it makes some sort of |

sense? What does "any faith is lame stuffed shirt" mean, exactly? English is good. Using it is better.

But, no matter how horrible he is, I can't vote for Angle. I think she's his insurance policy, kind of like Moosalini was Obama's. :kick: & R
