I just attended a conference and went to a demographics presentation. It was a ski industry conference; the big "warning" from the demographer giving the presentation is that soon there will not be enough rich white people to fill the lifts and support the industry. By 2025, the growth of the white population in the United States will all but stop, leveling off at about 5%. Baby boomers will be dying off, white people don't have lots of kids anymore. But the Hispanic population by 2025 will see explosive growth of 188%. Immigration policy won't change this. It is a demographic trend we won't be able to stop because so much of it is rooted in the Baby Boomer generation dying off. Fascinating stuff. These aren't "consequences," just the facts. The nation is changing drastically. Whining like O'Reilly is doing won't change a thing.

Nevada: very sparsely populated. Mostly white population in Vegas & Reno.

Colorado: not so sure. Maybe ranchers & gold & silver miners account for CO getting more attention from white settlers.

So the whole SW quarter of the US is pretty much majority Hispanic/mestizo, just as it was at the time of the Mexican War/Invasión Estadounidense. Deviations from this norm each have their own special circumstances.
