"Flame-throwing Carl Paladino on Thursday backed down from his unsubstantiated claim that Democratic foe Andrew Cuomo cheated on his wife.

Paladino told the Buffalo News he never intended to make the allegation, but was simply frustrated by attention on his own personal life.

"I'm sick and tired of people asking me about if I've had affairs," said Paladino, who had an extramarital affair that resulted in a now 10-year-old love child.

"I was talking to (Politico.com) and said 'why don't you ask Andrew Cuomo if he has had extramartial affairs," he told the paper. "It's not that I was accusing him."

I was surprised as the Post is a Murdoch rag, but from the video I saw, it looked like it was a Post reporter pressing him for proof and he wouldn't back down even after Paladino threatened to 'take him out'. He just got in Paladino's face and said 'take me out? How you gonna do that'? Hilarious!

Another 'family values' Republican. Why don't just give up on that now? It's become a joke frankly.

7. here's a clue carl.... you are running for governor..... they ask you these kind of questions

when you are running for governor and you can't just make bs claims about your opponent. see, if you are claiming to be some moral authority or claiming moral superiority and wanting to tell others what to do, then your own history say with affairs showing how much sanctity marriage really has for you will become an issue. and if cuomo HAD screwed around on his wife, i can bet you'd be putting it out all over the place as some reason he is not fit to be governor. so then the same is true for you.
