Poll question: Do you favor or oppose an invasion of Pakistan? |

We're already doing a "Cambodia" and "Laos" there.

1. Can we stop with these middle eastern wars already. |
|
We can't afford them. We got a 11 trillion dollar debt, much of was spent on these wars.

18. Think of it as an "oil subsidy." The money has to get to the oil corporations somehow. |
|
Might as well kill a bunch of innocent, poor people in the process.

38. I'm all with you. How many wars have we already beein involved in |
|
since WWII? It's been practically non-stop since then. Our war industry and our top military people are all for more wars, of course. Never mind the deaths and the maiming of our young people - not to mention the total destruction of the foreign countries we are invading - they exist for the express purpose of making profits for us! This seems to be the motto of our psychopathic "leaders."

I support going after al-Qaeda and the Taliban who hide inside Pakistan, NOT "attacking Pakistan" as a county.
Disagree with going after them all you want, but IF you choose to go after an enemy with force it's unreadable to conclude they should be granted a nearby safe haven for regrouping and reorganizing to carry out further attacks against you

20. Under that logic, would you favor another country running incursions into the US . . . . |
|
. . . . to root out some group of people here? How is that different from an invasion?
When you cross a national border with an armed group of your own nationals or people you pay to fight for you, that's an "invasion".

23. If Mexico was fighting Spain... |
|
And Mexican forces where using the US side of of the border to regroup then Spain would be fully justified in going after Mexican strongholds here, especially if we won't or can't do it ourselves.
Of course that's dependant on whether you feel Spain is justified in going after Mexican forces.

The Pakistan government in theory is our ally. There is no indication the Pakistan government wants a full blown US invasion of the region and there is no indication our government will invade Pakistan without its permission. So I don't see the point of the poll.

34. You don't see shooting up a military compound with a helicopter gunship as an invasion? |
|
What about drones unleashing death and destruction on a weekly basis. If Mexico did this, we would be halfway to Puerto Vallarta by now, charging hard and leaving death in our wake.
This is Laos and Cambodia all over again, the US punishing innocents for failing to stop the "enemy" in a war they didn't want with weapons they don't have.

if the government of a nuclear capable nation becomes unstable or rogue then it is clear that the international community has an obligation to act swiftly and purposefully with regard to securing those nuclear weapons / facilities. IMHO
ETA: When I speak of nuclear weapons I mean the real life or death kind like they have in Pakistan and not the made up bullshit ones like Shrub said were in Iraq.

22. The USAmerikan Empire already has a group of nukes |
|
targeted on Pakistani nuclear resources...
This is a NON-issue...
Swhoosh -- push some buttons and there's no problem from the Pakis...
And the Pakistanis can't deliver a nuke to the US... (well, except maybe by using a ship container otherwise filled with wal-mart crap)...
But that would kill fewer people than alcohol does and far fewer than cigarettes do and USAmerika doesn't seem to give a shit about that...

Then you won't have to invade ANY other countries...
The HUGE hypocrisy of USAmerica is this myth that we want to spread out "way of life" when by any reasonable measure; healthcare, income distribution, happiness indicators, etc. the USAmerican "way of life" is a disaster and is at the BOTTOM of the industrialized/"developing" nations.
Put your own fucking house in order before crapping on others'.
