1. Okay, the Guns toon has me stumped...

is it implying that self-defense with a firearm never happens?
That it can't happen?

Because there is plenty of evidence to the contrary.

In a crowded mall, or school, or bar?

That is the point. Not that one can't defend oneself in one's own house, but that the logic of allowing folks to carry firearms everywhere public because it improves safely is dubious.

5. If it's stopped by a legally-armed citizen... then it's not a mass shooting.

If I was at McDonald's with my kid, two guys come and begin waving guns and demanding money and I shoot them... did I just prevent a mass murder?

Did I just save the employees from being herded into a walk-in freezer and executed? Did I avoid a prolonged hostage situation? Did I just save a cashier or two from being plugged because the $20s are in the drop safe?
