They picked me up at the train station in car with a "W" sticker on one side and an "NRA" sticker on the other side of the rear window. Gonna be a fun weekend.

much at all (as in once or twice a year) while we were dating and while we were married, then we had our first kid and there was lots of atonement for past transgressions.

She ought to be about ready to blow her head off about now...been there since Thursday. We're considered "the liberal pukes" of the family. Her sister and bro-in-law are full on born-agains. The rest are merely hard-core republicans. I wrote a letter to my wife's mom before the 2004 election begging her not to vote for Bush again, asking her to think about her grandchildren getting sent to Iraq. Yikes. I got a very nasty letter back telling me essentially to mind my own fucking business and something about her cousin serving in WWII, as if it had anything to do with anything. I can't take 'em. Unfortunately, it seems much of Florida has devolved similarly since I moved away 25 years ago.
My sympathies go out to you!
