Should we start a Distraction of the Day thread?
I guess for today it would be the firing of Rick Sanchez or the firing - excuse me - resignation of Rahm Emanuel. Every day it's something new to distract us from the reality that we are being screwed royally by the economic powers that be.

1. This is actually a very, very good idea!
Whenever a big story breaks that distracts, I often wonder what we're missing.

3. I would argue that the Emanuel resignation is important (more important than Sanchez)
because he was the Chief of Staff
Your post is spot on.
But take heart, Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan will come along to take this off the front page of media outlets

I did rec the post because you are correct

Great idea.

I tried to start a daily "Bite Me" thread -- similar idea to yours -- but no one was interested.

Still, go for it.

8. yep
but distractions...Shark Week! Car jack! Missing white Kid! That all sells like a blonde toddler down a well. But no chance of getting real news. That's boring and doesn't move the RonCo. Sorry. Well...they aren't really sorry.
