Now we're in no way implying that Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott is a Nazi ... but, the tie he decided to wear for his team's media day ... well, let's just say, it went out of style in the mid-40's.

I think that this is a lot like those Navy barracks in California that showed up like swastikas on satellite. The designer just created a geometric design and the way the light and everything hit it, it morphed into a swastika. When the coach was picking out the tie, I do not think he ever saw a swastika.

It's the actual design of the building in question. It was probably intended as four L-shaped buildings each rotated 90 degrees, but... damn.

It probably is a very attractive alternative to long columns and rows of rectangular structures. It also seems to provide a delineated, semi-private courtyard for each of the L-shaped buildings.

It is only from the perspective of the satellite view that the swastika can be seen.

It is unfortunate that fifteen years of Hitler should rob the world of a couple of thousand of years use of the Indo-European "sun wheel" design motif.

I had a blouse once that had a design I only "saw" when someone took a snapshot of me in it. Nothing offensive, but it was an odd sensation.

It's totally innocent on the coach's part, but after today I have a feeling that tie will never see the light of day again.
