50 Cent: Oral Sex Remarks Were Not Anti-Gay

50 Cent is trying to defend the controversial remarks he made about oral sex over Twitter.

"If you a man and your over 25 and you don't eat pu**y just kill your self damn it. The world will be a better place. Lol," he tweeted on Thursday.

Even if he just meant to encourage straight men to give oral, his statement offended many considering the recent gay teen suicide at Rutgers, one of four similar tragedies within a month.

50 tried to explain himself Friday and in the process surely managed to offend again by saying that gays "choose an alternative lifestyle." In a series of tweets he wrote:

The other night I made a joke about a blow job. My male followers enjoyed it. So I then went on to joke about women receiving the same. Some how they turned a simple joke about oral sex into a anti gay statement. I have nothing against people who choose and alternative lifestyle in fact iv publicly stated my mom loved women. It funny how people think negative statements are news worthy but positive statements are not worthy of coverage. Access holly wood for got to put laughing out loud lol that was at the end of that statement.

3. I think he's a no-talent homophobic douchebag but I actually think that really was his true intent.

Twitter sucks; it totally caters to all the worst Short Attention Span Theater tendencies in our culture. But in that particular post, I really do think that what he meant was:

He's so fucking ignorant he didn't think to address gay men at all. I don't think gay men were part of his "thought" process here.

I think this tweet in particular was aimed at young men who love their blow jobs from women, but think performing oral sex on women is gross and won't do it. And yeah, I agree with him on this-- those guys should just kill themselves. There's no justification whatsoever for that point of view, but it IS widely held among young men.

I've heard some of his early stuff and can see how he got a record deal but he peaked before he was signed. For years now he's basically recorded the same two songs (neither of which are any good) over and over. I'm sure I could find homophobic quotes from him but I do believe his recent twitter comment was directed at heterosexual men who are selfish when it comes to receiving but not performing oral sex.

I've always said that I did not 'choose' a mainstream lifestyle -- it sort of just happened and I didn't really have much say in it. That being said, since when do self-styled gangstas tweet, say 'lol,' or do both at the same time? I must be behind the times :)
