Answers to the Friday Challenge Question...
#1 is, as Smalll guessed, Cellini's Perseus with Head of Medusa, but from the back, where Cellini carved his likeness into Perseus's helmet. Another view:


#3 is Fra Angelico from his Deposition of Christ:


#5 is Pontormo from his Deposition of Christ (on right side of Mary in background). Note the difference in the Early Renaissance style of Fra Angelico and the Mannerist style of Pontormo!


The others were guessed correctly! Congrats to all who participated.

5. No -- I never do, but it's fun to try.
Ackshully, I did get Serra's "Tilted Arc" but then you said it was too easy, so I consider myself an interested kibitzer, more or less, instead of a player . . .

6. I don't recall I said it was too easy...it wasn't for me! Everyone on DU knew it and I thought
it was difficult!

I can never really fool anybody for very long here on DU. Ya'll are too good!
